About The Site

Welcome to freefor.kids, an online community where users can list their items for the benefit of kids. Whether it's baby gear, toys & games, clothes, school books, or sports equipment, our site is here to make it easy and fun for parents to find what they need, all available for local collection. And the best part: everything on the site is totally free.

Our Story

The idea for the site was born out of a desire to create a place to help families save money, and reduce waste by sharing their kids' items with others. We believe that every child benefits from having the things they need, regardless of their family's financial status. And, as parents ourselves, we recognised the need for a platform where families could easily pass on items their children had outgrown to others who could benefit from them. We envisioned a place that encourages generosity, where people are acknowledged and rewarded for their efforts, and we wanted to build a place that fosters a great sense of community.

The site was officially launched on September 2023, and we're so happy that it has been living up to these aspirations!

Mission statement

Our mission is to create a positive impact on families by making it easy and convenient to pass along items that still have life left in them. We want to empower parents to participate in the spirit of giving and receiving, where every item finds its perfect match and contributes to a more connected community.

We're also committed to making freefor.kids a safe and welcoming place for everyone. We have a team of moderators who are always on the lookout for inappropriate content, and we encourage our users to report any problems they see.
